# 14. Risks & Mitigation 🛑

Addressing key risks proactively is essential for a compliant and scalable FinTech platform.

| Risk                    | Impact                                         | Mitigation                                                                                                                   |
| ----------------------- | ---------------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Regulatory delay** | High: Delays live transaction capability. | Start as a data-only platform (API licensing) to generate revenue, add finance later. |
| **Greenwashing claims** | Medium: Damages platform trust and reputation. | Mandatory MRV + third-party verification for *all* projects; AI anomaly detection. |
| **Retail adoption lag** | Medium: Slows down platform fee revenue. | Focus on B2B data clients early to cover costs; target university networks and corporate wellness programs for retail users. |
| **Data access limits** | Medium: Hampers AI model accuracy. | Establish a clear **MoCCAE data-sharing MoU** from Phase 1; utilize open-source satellite and sensor data as backup. |

#### **Additional Mitigation Strategy:**

To de-risk dependency on the UAE MRV system, EcoVest’s architecture is designed to integrate **global GHG Protocol and ISO 14064 datasets**, ensuring continuity and scalability even if local data availability fluctuates.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://ecovest.gitbook.io/ecovest/14.-risks-and-mitigation.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
